Hong Kong Open Tip: Natipong Srithong

Hong Kong Open Tip: Natipong Srithong

Arrives in Hong Kong after three consecutive top-25s, including the Australian PGA. Young improving golfer.

Earlier in the season I threw a dart at Natipong Srithong in the European Masters, he missed the cut but is worth revisiting closer to home.

The 23-year-old is one of the rising stars of golf in Thailand. He won on his fifth starts as a professional taking the Manila Masters last September and although he has failed to add to his tally he’s improved his consistency.  Last week he finished T25 in the Australian PGA Championship, his third consecutive top-25 finish.

The Hong Kong Open has a slightly stronger field than he is used to but he’s experienced regular European Tour events and is comfortable on the Asian Tour, so shouldn’t be overawed.

Natipong Srithong has made big strides in the last 18 months but there is still plenty of unrealised talent making him a lively outsider at 350/1 (Stan James).
