Honda Classic Tips: Nick Watney

Finished T24 last year despite struggling with his game. Arrives in much better form with four top-25s in his last five starts.

Nick Watney endured a wretched 2014, he finished the season 105th in the FedEx Cup managing just two top-10s all year. It is not the first time he has suffered a slump in fortunes; he went through a similar lean spell in 2008 and was able to bounce back.

The 33-year-old is enjoying a resurgence with finishes of 14-MC-T7-2-T22 in his last five tournaments.

The Californian looked in good shape when shooting an opening round of 66 at Riviera and although his putter went cold, he still finished a respectable T22.

Despite his ups and downs, Watney is a five-time winner on tour and managed a T24 finish at the Honda Classic twelve months ago whilst not in great form.

Watney returns to PGA National on a hot streak and 50/1 (Bet365) looks on the generous side for such a talented player.
