Fortinet Championship: Lee Hodges

Finished fourth in the Korn Ferry Tour Championship, representative of a player who has fifth in the season's all-around ranking. Finishes on PGA Tour read: 54-MC-13-63-53-11.

The seemingly never ending Korn Ferry Tour has finished and the graduates get to try their hand on the PGA Tour this week. The Fall series usually contain weaker fields and the bookmakers don’t always react to the talent coming off to Korn Ferry.

Quotes of 300/1 are an insult to Trey Mullinax given he finished second (and should have won) the season ending Tour Championship. This might not be his ideal course so will have a saver only and wait for a better opportunity in the weeks ahead. Instead i’m going with Lee Hodges.

The 26-year-old is one of the straighter hitters on the Korn Ferry Tour (17th driving accuracy) and Silverado is one of those courses where he is less disadvantaged. Hodges finished the season 5th in the all-around rankings and is worthy of his promotion.

Hodges has bits of experience on the PGA Tour already with finishes of 54-MC-13-63-53-11; the missed cut coming at the 2020 US Open. He shouldn’t be discounted at a massive price.
