After starting the year with a T4 finish at the Sony Open, Jamie Lovemark was all the rage for the CareerBuilder Challenge and as is the way with golf betting he promptly missed the cut.
That might be no bad thing because it means his price is on the drift for the Farmers Insurance Open, a tournament that looks ideal for him on paper.
One of the biggest hitters on tour (11th in driving distance last season) he’s got the power to move it around Torrey Pines and he’s also got the experience. Lovemark is 5/6 in cuts made at the Farmers and finished T31 last year despite losing strokes to the field putting.
The 29-year-old is getting ever closer to his first tour win. Last season he bagged five top-10s and lost in a playoff at the Zurich Classic, whilst this season he has two top-10s in his last three starts.
At 90/1 he is a good each-way bet with Stan James going the extra place; ¼ odds for a top-6 finish.
