European Open Tips: Justin Walters

European Open Tips: Justin Walters

Finished T30 last year and on a good run of form, made 4 of his last 5 cuts with a couple of top-25s.

Justin Walters isn’t the most prolific golfer in the world with just 1 win in 220 starts but he’s found a bit of form lately and could run into a place.

The South African has finished T21-T11-T61-MC-T45 in his last five starts and The Beckenbauer Course at Bad Griesbach should suit him.

Ranked 44th in driving distance he is sneaky long off the tee and not a bad putter either. Most importantly he’s already proven a liking for the course with a T30 last year and a T17 in 2014 on the Challenge Tour.

Last week’s T45 at the Italian Open was better than it appeared as Walters ranked 8th in driving distance but lost strokes to the field on the greens. If the putter heats up, he could outrun odds of 250/1 (Bet365).
