Dunhill Links Championship Tips: James Morrison
Finished T20 at St. Andrews in 2015 and has three top-25s in just six starts at the Dunhill Links Championship.
I’ve been flirting with backing James Morrison in almost every European Tour event this season fortunately for me he is yet to win but he’s gone close on several occasions with top-5 finishes at the Open de Esapana, Lyoness Open and Paul Lawrie Match Play.
The Englishman elevated his golf to a new level in 2015, winning the Open de Espana but the bookmakers don’t seem to have adjusted their lines.
Last year he recorded his best finish at the Open with an impressive T20 at St. Andrews, a course he gets to play twice this week if he makes the cut. His record on links courses is quietly impressive, he has three top-25s in just six starts at the Dunhill Links and his win at Real Club de Golf El Prat was achieved in windy conditions.
In surroundings that are familiar, he could gain his third tour win at 125/1 (Paddy Power) with 1/5 odds for a top-7 finish.
