Sullivan Spectacular In The Desert

Dubai Desert Classic Tips: Sullivan Spectacular In The Desert

Ran McIlory close in the DP World Tour Championship and has 8 top-25s in the desert from only 12 starts.

Andy Sullivan has won three times on the European Tour but arguably his most impressive performance was going toe-to-toe with Rory McIlroy in the DP World Tour Championship.

That performance came on the monstrous Earth Course, which at 7,675 yards played to McIlroy’s strengths. This week they convene on the more gettable 7,327-yard Emirates GC and that can help Sullivan (100th in driving distance in 2015) gain his revenge.

The Englishman finished T4 last year and actually has a very respectable record in the desert considering he only really burst onto the scene last year.

His 12 starts in the desert have produced 8 top-25 finishes and he was going well in Abu Dhabi until losing his ball during his third round.

His performance in the DP World Tour Championship last year should give him the confidence that he can compete with McIlory and at 33/1 (Bet365) he is a cracking each-way bet.
