Dubai Desert Classic Tips: Andy Sullivan
Runner-up last year and performance at Qatar hinted at a return to the strong form he showed towards the end of 2016.
Andy Sullivan finished 2016 playing some great golf without winning and although he’s started 2017 slowly there were signs last week of his game returning.
The 30-year-old was flawless in his first two rounds of the Qatar Masters, shooting two rounds of 68 without any dropped shots. On Sunday, he was perhaps a victim of pressing too hard in pursuit of the leaders and he dropped back to T28 but overall it was a good four days.
Emirates GC is a course where he’s enjoyed success in the past, his record is 12-MC-4-2 and went desperately close twelve months ago. With his game on an upwards curve his chances are better than his price. Back him at 33/1 with Paddy Power and get 1/5 odds for a top-6 finish.
