Digital Ally Open Tips: Cody Gribble
Played this event on his second start as a professional and also finished T23 last year.
It’s been a case of feast or famine with Cody Gribble this season. In 17 starts, he has missed 10 cuts but he’s converted 7 cuts into five top-25 finishes.
The 25-year-old hits bursts of form and might be entering another productive period. On his last two starts he’s finished T13-T36 and was going well for a long way at the Ellie Mae Classic until a final round 74 saw him tumble down the field.
Gribble has the ability to win as we saw when desperately unlucky at the ULF Championship back in May and his breakthrough win could come this week.
Last year he finished T23 and wasn’t that far behind the leaders, finishing only five shots outside of a place. The Digital Ally Open also gave Gribble his second start as a professional (when it was the Midwest Classic) so it is a tournament that he knows better than most.
A combination of familiarity and good form could see him go close at 110/1.
