The PGA Tour playoffs continue at TPC Boston this week. A regular tour venue, we look at the trends of the last 15 winners.

With an average winning score of -18, the tournament is a straightforward shoot-out. The 18th was modified in 2011, with a smaller green making the hole slightly more testing but overall the event will be another birdie-fest. TPC Boston was the second easiest par-71 on tour in 2013.

We have looked at all 15 winners to see what type of player triumphs in Boston.

Twelve winners ranked inside the top-30 on tour for making birdies, with eight of them ranking inside the top-10. With an average winning score of -18 it is obvious you need to make birdies to win.

Top-30 in all-around ranking
The best players come to the fore, as you would expect in a field limited to the top-100 players. Twelve of the last 15 winners ranked inside the top-30 for this metric.
