Corales Puntacana Resort Tips: Anders Albertson

Part of the skill and joy of betting on the Web.com Tour is discovering (backing) new talent before everyone else jumps on the bandwagon. That is the way to find big price winners and I’m particularly excited about Anders Albertson.

The 23-year-old went to Georgia Tech with Ollie Schniederjans and will have taken great heart from his former teammate’s exploits. Not bless with the brute force of Schniederjans, he can still shift the ball and is currently ranked second on tour for total driving. Add the fact he leads the tour for GIRs and Albertson is one of the best ball-strikers at this level.

His excellence tee-to-green hasn’t translated into results on a consistent basis due to his putter but we saw glimpses of his ability in Brasil and Mexico when he finished third and thirteenth respectively. 

Albertson is in his rookie season on the Web.com Tour but I don’t think youth is a barrier to victory in his case. Last season he finished T2-1-2-1 on the Swing Thought Tour, a continuation of the success he enjoyed at college. At 150/1 (Coral) he is a player to keep on side.
