Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship: Trey Mullinax
Record at Corales Golf Club is 11-22 and has only missed one cut from 8 starts in 2019. Needs his putting to fire but everything else is working well enough to win in a weaker field.
It seems a bit odd backing Trey Mullinax at a mere 35/1 but the Corales Puntacana Resort has a weak field and the Alabaman is one of the best in the field.
Mullinax has made 7/8 cuts in 2019 and all of them in better events than this. Ranked in the top-70 on tour for strokes gained tee-to-green and scoring average his underlying numbers are good, he is just a good putting week away from contending.
A trip to the Dominican Republic could be the spark he needs. There is the different grass on the greens and his record at Corales Golf Club is T11-T22; having played this event on the Web.com Tour in 2016.
His career low round on the PGA Tour came at the 2017 Puerto Rico Open when he opened with a 63 and in similar conditions he can go well again.
