Colombia Championship Tips: Michael Kim

Had a tremendous college career and one to look out for in his second season on tour.

We saw last week with Harold Varner, how bookmakers can underestimate precocious young talent in the early weeks of the season and they might have made a mistake with Michael Kim.

The 21-year-old enjoyed a stellar college career winning the 2013 Haskins Award, joining alumni Phil Mickelson, Tiger Woods, Hunter Mahan and more recently Justin Thomas.

The pedigree of the award suggests Kim is destined for big things and after a season spent finding his feet on the Web.com Tour he is ready to win.

Kim finished T47 in Colombia last year, his first start on Tour, opening with a round of 66. With a years worth of experience under his belt, he should improve markedly.

He finished a solid T34 in Panama last week and is a player to keep onside at 50/1 (Sportingbet).
