CJ Cup: Tyrrell Hatton

Playing better than results suggest and made plenty of birdies in Rome, something he must replicate on rain-softened greens. T14 here last year shooting 68-66 over the weekend.

With light winds forecast and slow, rain softened greens the scoring could be low this week in South Korea. Last year Brooks Koepka triumphed on 21-under and going deep into the red could be necessary again. That leads me to Tyrrell Hatton.

The Englishman has been relatively quiet this season but his play of late has been better than his results. Last week in Italy he was ranked 6th for birdies (averaging five per round) and 14th for strokes gained with approaches.

When Hatton has his iron dialled in he can be devastatingly good, especially if the putter behaves. Last year he finished T14 on his debut at this event firing rounds of 68-66 over the weekend. He is unlikely to be fazed by the slow greens and is a fair price at 50/1.
