CIMB Classic Tips: Keegan Bradley

Enjoying a strong end to the year with seven top-20 finishes in his last eight starts. His long hitting will be an advantage this week.

The CIMB Classic moves to the Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club for the first time and the venue is tailor-made for Keegan Bradley.

Measuring just 6,967 yards and with a threat of rain to soften up the greens, it could be taken apart by the big hitters. The last tournament held at the course was the Malaysian Open won by Kiradech Aphibarnrat. He hits the ball a mile and can putt; he is basically a Thai version of Keegan Bradley.

The former US PGA Champion enjoyed a strong end to the season with seven top-20 finishes in eight starts and he contributed 2.5 points to the winning cause in the Presidents Cup.

Having won at least one tournament in each of the last two calendar years Keegan Bradley has the incentive to make sure 2013 isn’t a blank.

I’d be surprised if he didn’t go close and at 16/1 (Boylesports) he is a confident each-way selection with no cut to worry about this week.
