CIMB Classic Tips: Charl Schwartzel
Has finished T11-6-T4 at this week’s venue and ranked tenth for adjusted scoring average on the PGA Tour last season.
Charl Schwartzel is still looking for his first PGA Tour win since the 2011 Masters, but he’s not done a lot wrong lately.
The 30-year-old recorded eleven top-25 finishes from 18 starts last season and ranked tenth in adjusted scoring average.
When in contention, the South African’s putter has gone cold at inopportune moments but he should feel comfortable on the greens at Kuala Lumpur having played well at the venue before.
Schwartzel has finished T11-6-T4 at the Malaysian Open (on the same course) and that should give him the edge at 18/1 (Stan James).
