McGirt Can Break Duck In Canada

McGirt Can Break Duck Canada

Twice a runner-up in Canada including at this week’s course. His good scrambling could prove crucial if the wind gets up.

William McGirt is searching for his first PGA Tour win in 141 starts but if it is going to come anywhere, it is probably in Canada.

McGirt has finished runner-up twice in his career both times at the Canadian Open, including on the Glen Abbey Course in 2013.

The 36-year-old is solid tee-to-green (42nd in strokes gained) and when he misses he usually gets up and down (13th for scrambling). The weakness to his game is his lack of birdies but with gusty winds and rain forecast the winning score is likely to be higher than usual.

McGirt’s season has been chugging along with numerous top-40 finishes but nothing standout, which means we can get generous odds of 100/1 with Coral.
