Canadian Open Tip: Anirban Lahiri

Anirban Lahiri makes his Canadian Open debut this week at Glen Abbey GC but it’s a course that should suit his game. The four par-5s provide excellent scoring opportunities, ones that Lahiri should take considering he ranks 9th on tour for birdie average.

The 30-year-old missed the cut at Royal Birkdale but prior to that he’d been on a run of form that reads 2-17-32, with a second place at the Memorial Tournament.

Improved putting was the catalyst for the upturn in results an area where Lahiri has often struggled. Streaky at best with the putter, he appears to be coming back into form and this is the sort of weaker event he can win.
