Weekley Contender

Couldn’t sustain his fast start at Colonial but game is in good shape. Finished T5 last year despite a cold putter.

Last season Boo Weekley finished a career high T5 at the Byron Nelson Championship and in his current vein of form he could place again.

The 41-year-old has finished T75-3-MC-T16-T33 on his last five starts but was tied for the lead after the first round at Colonial last week having opened with a 64.

Tee-to-green his game is in excellent shape, it is down to whether the putter behaves.

Last year he finished five shots adrift of eventual winner Brendan Todd but there was a stark difference in performance on the greens. Todd gained 2.44 strokes putting whilst Boo Weekley lost 1.23 strokes on the field per round.

Even just an average week of putting could be enough and at 125/1 (Coral) he is a cracking each-way bet.
