Scott A Major Focus
Saves his best golf for the majors. Has six top-10s in the last ten major championships.
For a 34-year-old, Adam Scott doesn’t seem to play much competitive golf, instead he saves himself for the majors.
Since the start of 2013, he has six top-10s in the last 10 majors. His record at the Open reads T27-T25-2-T3-T5 over the last five years.
His low ball flight is an advantage if the forecast winds materialise and he has all the tools to do well at St. Andrews.
He is a terrific driver of the ball and although his putting is not great, a switch back to the long-handle version will help.
Having given away Open Championships in the past, he’ll be motivated to do well and at 20/1 (Betfair Sportsbook) we should get some return with ¼ odds for a top-8 finish.
