Schwartzel Favoured By Draw
Has five top-25s at the Open and his early/late tee off times should see him go out in the best of the weather.
Charl Schwartzel was having a quiet season until his seventh place finish at the US Open.
His strong run through the field reminded everyone that the South African is a class act on his day and he could emulate his good friend by winning the Open at St. Andrews.
Schwartzel finished T14 when Louis Oosthuizen won at the ‘home of golf’ and he has continued to play well at the Open with five top-25s in ten starts.
The 30-year-old has the benefit of an early/late start, which might see him get the best of the weather. At 80/1 (Betfair Sportsbook) we should get a run for our money with ¼ odds for a top-8 finish.
