British Masters Tips: Alejandro Canizares
Has four top-25s in his last five stroke play starts and finished tenth on a similar layout at Wentworth.
In the last month, we’ve come close to cashing on Alejandro Canizares and whilst his price remains broadly the same I’m happy to continue backing him.
The Spaniard has finished T16-T12-T25-T24-T43 in his last five stroke play starts, shooting fifteen rounds in the 60s in the process.
The big attraction of Canizares is his accuracy off the tee (26th on tour) and that will help along the tree-lined fairways at Woburn.
The 32-year-old finished tenth at Wentworth (T4 in 2013), which suggest he will relish this week’s test.
He is a two-time winner on tour and a third victory doesn’t seem too far off, at 66/1 (William Hill) he is a cracking each-way bet.
