BMW PGA: Christiaan Bezuidenhout

Earned a PGA Tour card via the Korn Ferry Finals and was in sparkling form to finish third in the Tour Championship. Finished third at Wentworth in 2019 and likely to go well again.

Regular readers will recognise there was heartbreak in the Korn Ferry Tour Championship; Trey Mullinax lost a three shot lead on the back 9, on Sunday. Back in third was Christiaan Bezuidenhout a fine effort, in what was a good quality field.

The South African has been rarely sighted on the European Tour this season and his immediate future lies in the USA but he might leave a parting gift at Wentworth. In the last two seasons he’s finished 3-40 at this event and he returns in excellent form.

Five wins in 158 professional starts is an excellent strike rate and with most bookmakers paying 8 places at 1/5 odds, he rates one of the more likely winners with a pay-out of any sorts a distinct possibility.
