BMW PGA Championship Tips: Alvaro Quiros
Has three top-20 finishes at Wentworth and his length off the tee gives him an advantage around the West Course.
One of the longest hitters in the game, Alvaro Quiros can be devastating when on song.
The Spaniard generates his power with a lightning fast swing; when his timing is off he struggles but recently he has been looking good.
Quiros has finished T54-T5-T13-3-65 on his last five starts and after a torrid 2013, he’s regaining the sort of form that helped him to six tour wins.
In five visits to Wentworth he has finished T16-MC-T18-T10-T32. Even during his struggles last year he managed a respectable score at the course.
If he has a good week on the greens he could make a mockery of his 80/1 (Stan James) quote, with ¼ odds for a top-6 finish.
