BMW Masters Tips: Emiliano Grillo
Ranked second on tour for GIRs and has two top-25s at the China Open. Has the game to win a big tournament.
If GIRs prove key to victory in China then Emiliano Grillo has to enter our staking plan.
Regular readers will know how highly we rate the young Argentine golfer and after a mid-summer lull, he seems to be finding form again.
Grillo is ranked second on tour for GIRs and although his putting can be inconsistent, he has played well in the last couple of months finishing T25-T22-T29-T42-T21 on his last five starts.
The 22-year-old is making his debut at the Final Series but he’s played well in China before, cracking the top-25 both times he’s played there.
On a ball-striker’s course, he is overpriced at 100/1 (Boylesports) with ¼ odds for a top-5 finish.
