BMW Masters Tips: Bernd Wiesberger

Has finished 6-T13-T12-T14-MC on his last five starts and should create plenty of birdie opportunities with his excellent ball-striking.

The BMW Masters is still a relatively young tournament, we are only into its fourth year but early indications suggest GIRs are crucial.

It’s easy to rack up a score if you are wayward around Lake Malaren but conditions are soft therefore pins can be attacked.

Bernd Wiesberger is ranked ninth on tour for GIRs and will enjoy the test.

The Austrian finished T17 last year but ranked ninth for GIRs and would have finished higher but for a triple-bogey on his final hole.

The 29-year-old has four top-15 finishes in his last five starts and having won in Singapore in 2012, he should acclimatise quickly on his return to Asia.

At 40/1 (William Hill) he is a good each-way bet with 1/4 odds for a top-5 finish.
