BMW International Open Tips: Justin Walters
Finished T5 last week on the Challenge Tour and shot a closing round of 65 on his last visit to the Golfclub Munchen Eichenried.
Whilst the best players in the world were grappling with Chambers Bay some of the lesser lights were toughing it out at Saint-Omer in the Najeti Open.
The Challenge Tour event went relatively unnoticed but hidden away was a good performance from Justin Walters.
The South African finished T5, having briefly got into second place mid-way through the final round.
The 34-year-old is usually found on the Sunshine Tour but he has played the last two BMW Internationals finishing T29 and T33, with the T29 coming at the Golfclub Munchen Eichenried, this week’s host venue.
The T29 finish was better than it appeared because Walters dropped five shots in just two holes, one being the easy par-5 eleventh.
Take out those two disasters and a top-10 was on the cards, especially when you consider he finished with a closing round of 65. At 200/1 (Stan James) he represents each-way value
