BMW Charity Pro-Am: Joel Dahmen

BMW Charity Pro-Am: Joel Dahmen

Won the PGA Tour Canada money list in 2014 and led the tour in birdie average. Riding high for the same metric this season.

Making birdies is the name of the game at the BMW Charity Pro-Am. Last year Rod Pampling won with a score of 25-under and something similar is needed again. The Pro-Am element means the course set-up is easier than usual and soft conditions will encourage players to fire at pins.

Joel Dahmen made his name on the PGA Tour Canada, winning the money list in 2014 and should relish conditions this week.

Dahmen led the PGA Tour Canada for birdie average in 2014, making 4.64 per round and is approaching similar levels on the Web.com Tour this season. Ranked 10th on tour, he averages 4.27 birdies per round.

Results-wise, it has been a mixed bag for the 29-year-old with four top-25s and three missed cuts. However his best results have come in the US, with finishes of T3-T14-T23 so far this season.

Last year he finished T64 at the BMW Charity Pro-Am but it was his first look at the course and he managed a second round 65. He is capable of going low and if he can string four rounds together, he could go close at 70/1 (Stan James).
