AT&T National Trends: Pat Perez
Has enjoyed good results at the tournament with T3 and T12 finishes at Congressional.
Enjoying a good season but without hitting the headlines, Pat Perez is the type of player who could ignite at any moment. Predicting when is the difficult bit but I’m giving him a chance at Congressional, a course where he has gone well before.
Back in 2007, he finished T3 at the AT&T National and followed up with a T12 in 2008. He missed the cut last time he visited Congressional but overall his record at the course is good.
Perez currently ranks 9th for birdie average on tour, so the ability to go low is there he just needs to cut down on the errors. Last month he enjoyed a season’s best finish of T9 at the Byron Nelson suggesting his form is good.
At 80/1 (Bodog) and with ¼ odds for a top-6 finish he should give us a run for our money.
