Arnold Palmer Invitational Tips: Sean O’Hair

A better player when he can attack from the tee. Finished top-3 at Bay Hill, twice in the last five years.

With a win in three of the last four seasons, you can be confident Sean O’Hair knows where the winning post is. The one surprise is that none of his four tour victories have come at Bay Hill.

His record on his last five visits is: MC-T21-2-T3-T14.

Last year’s missed cut is the only blot in the copybook and he only failed to make the weekend by one shot.

The 29-year-old from Texas started 2012 brightly with a T2 in Hawaii and although he missed the cut last week at the Transitions Championship, I wouldn’t be too concerned. He has missed his last four cuts at that tournament and you wonder why he keeps it on his schedule!

He is a better player when allowed to rip the ball off the tee. When he finished T2 at Hawaii he was T11 for driving distance and he was T3 for distance when he won the Canadian Open last year. Bay Hill gives him an opportunity to unleash the driver.

At 66/1 (bodog), he looks good value. Back him each way with ¼ odds for a top-six finish, only available with bodog.
