Arnold Palmer Invitational: Rory McIlroy

Tee-to-green he's still great, he loves Bay Hill and he gained strokes on the field putting last week. The 10 places on offer make him a bet to nothing.

The Arnold Palmer Invitational will be a good watch but it’s a struggle to bet on because I can’t get past the top-3 in the market. There’s not a lot to be said that hasn’t already been written a million times about Rory McIlroy. It’s been a while since he won but he’s swinging it well and he even gained strokes putting last week.

His record at Bay Hill is 11-27-4-1-6-5 and betting with 10 places (or fewer) we’d have cashed in the last four years. At 7/1 with Boylesports playing 10 places, he really is a bet to nothing with those extra places insurance if there is a tie for the minor places. It’s boring but a profitable bet.
