Molecomb Stakes Tip: To Wafij

Havana Grey sets the standard in the Molecomb having won three of his last four starts but he could be vulnerable on a different track. Two of those wins came at Sandown both when taking advantage of a low draw bias on the straight-track.

I expect connections will persist with front-running tactics but To Wafij could turnaround a 1.5 length defeat from their last meeting.

Roger Varian’s colt had a much worse draw and didn’t get the clearest for passages when trying to extricate himself from the pack. Despite finishing third he clocked the fastest closing sectional and although helped by coming from further back, he finished well off a strong pace.
