Albertsons Boise Open: Trey Mullinax

Albertsons Boise Open: Trey Mullinax

Finished T13 last week on a course that wouldn’t have suited him. Hillcrest much more his cup of tea.

It is mission accomplished for Trey Mullinax, a maiden tour win and a PGA Tour card secured he can free-roll through the Final Series and that makes him a dangerous player.

Last week I dismissed him for the DAP Championship on the basis that Cantebury Golf Club would be too difficult, with deep rough waiting to capture wayward drives. As it turns out Mullinax was in contention all four days eventually finishing T13 after falling back late on Sunday.

If we upgrade the performance because of the unsuitable venue, he must be of interest on a more favourable track. Mullinax finished T14 at the Boise Open last year and his putting has improved hugely since then.

The 90/1 (Stan James) available for one of the stars of the Web.com must be snapped up.
