Africa Open Tips: Seve Benson
Finished 17th for stroke average last year and has the quality to shine in a modest field.
Seve Benson didn’t really sparkle with a T66 finish at the Joburg Open last week but he’s got plenty of game and can bounce back quickly.
The Wentworth golfer enjoyed a productive Desert Swing with finishes of T50-T19-T35 and in modest company, he should fancy his chances.
Benson finished T15 at the 2013 Africa Open and that was despite struggling on the greens; he ranked 48th in putts per GIR.
The 28-year-old finished last season ranked 17th in stroke average and that sort of quality makes him a stand-out bet at 60/1 (Bet365).
