Byeong Hun An advertised his talents by finishing T12 on debut last year, coming straight from the Challenge Tour to register a huge result. Looking back it was the moment a star was born and he finished the year ranked 29th in the world having started it 180th.
The bookmakers are aware of his talents on his return to Abu Dhabi but I think they underestimate just how well he played.
An finished the tournament ranked 6th in GIRs but only 44th in putts per GIR. If he’d putted better he’d potentially have threatened a win, especially if you ignore his second round 75.
The 24-year-old finished 2015 in fine form with four consecutive top-10s and there is every chance he carries that form into Abu Dhabi. At 33/1 (Bet365) he is a great each-way bet.
