Sutil Unlikely Monaco Specialist

Outperforms the equipment he is given; scoring points in his last three drives at Monaco.

The Monaco GP is such a unique circuit it should lend itself to course specialists. Six past winners are taking part this weekend but none of them have dominated in the principality.

One small mistake can spell disaster and the high penalty means almost all the drivers struggle in Monaco compared to their seasonal average.

Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg head the market and they look difficult to oppose. Apart from Hamilton’s retirement in Australia, no rival has finished a race ahead of a Mercedes.

The top of the market is prohibitive so we have to look elsewhere for value.

Adrian Sutil is an unlikely course specialist; he has never finished higher than 5th but considering the meagre resources he has to battle with, he enjoys a good return at the track.

The German has finished in the points in his last three Monaco GP and he beats 7% more rivals at the track compared to his seasonal average. At 9/1 (Paddy Power) he is a big price to gain his first points of the year.
