Schwartzel To End Drought

Schwartzel To End Drought

Has a couple of top-10s in this event and looked very good at the European Open for three rounds.

Charl Schwartzel can be an incredibly frustrating player but at 30/1 he is worth the risk.

The 31-year-old has not won since December 2013, which is far too long for a player of his calibre.

He again looked good at the European Open last week before a wretched 75 on day three derailed his challenge.

The former Masters champion keeps making unforced errors but at the Dunhill Links these are likely to go unpunished given the easy nature of the courses.

In his last five cracks at the event he has finished MC-T9-T66-T7-MC, his putter often letting him down once he’s got into contention.

Last week in Germany his putting was fine (19th in putts per GIR) and having gone well for three rounds at this year’s Open Championship at St Andrews he is an attractive each-way bet at 30/1 (Betfred).
