Mexico Top Goalscorer Tip: Alan Pulido

Scored a hat-trick on his international debut and enjoyed a prolific campaign for his club side, netting 25 goals.

With Brazil set to dominate Group A, the outright betting looks sewn up however there is money to be made in the top scorer markets.

British punters will be familiar with the likes of Javier Hernandez and Giovani Dos Santos but the player to get excited about is Alan Pulido.

The 23-year-old can operate as an attacking midfielder or striker, but wherever he plays he scores goals.

Pulido scored 25 times for Mexican club side Tigres this season, averaging 0.62 goals per 90min.

After scoring 11 goals in 12 appearances for Mexico U23 he was rewarded with a call-up to the senior squad in January. He subsequently scored a hat-trick on his debut against South Korea and followed up with another goal against the United States.

With a friendly against Israel in the early hours of Thursday morning it makes sense to jump on Pulido before his reputation grows. At 14/1 (Skybet) he is a cracking bet to be Mexico’s top scorer in the World Cup.
