Mexico Still Underrated

Despite beating the world champions deservedly, some people still seem to think Mexico may be a flash in the pan.

Arguably the best performance of the whole first round of matches came from Mexico as they tactically outplayed Germany and I’m surprised they can be picked up at best odds of 2/1 with WilliamHill to beat South Korea by more than a goal.

The 2002 semi-finalists looked like last-place material when losing to Sweden even though it only ended 1-0. They failed to muster a shot on target against solid, but unremarkable European opponents who I would rate below Mexico.

This group remans competitive with Germany surely bound to bounce back so expect the Mexicans to show why they always reach the knockout phases.

1pt Mexico to win -1 goal (handicap market) 2/1 with William Hill
