Having already tasted success backing Mexico’s man in-form on Friday, we’re given every incentive by the bookmakers to go in again with the same option against the favourites.
Oribe Peralta struck the winner against Cameroon to take his tally to nine goals in seven competitive outings for el Tricolor. At best odds of 4/1 (PaddyPower) to score anytime against Brazil, he is a bargain.
The hosts may have won against Croatia on the opening day, but they could hardly have been less convincing. The Europeans were a constant threat and could easily have emerged with more than one goal had they been blessed with either a better referee or a more clinical centre forward. Luckily for Mexico, they have, at least, got the latter.
