Aston Villa can't seem to handle going behind. One goal conceded can quickly become three or four.
With title-chasing Spurs at such short odds to win at Villa Park (8/15), and anything else seeming so unlikely, this seems a good opportunity to delve into a bet market which could only be described as obscure.
BetFair offers 7/1 on Tottenham scoring over 2.5 goals in the second half and this could be the perfect way to exploit the now infamous Villa collapse.
Last week the basement boys held on till the 48th minute at Manchester City before conceding four times in 18 minutes. In February they let in four second half goals to Liverpool in the space of just 13 minutes.
This recent tendency to let the wheels come off is something a side like Spurs can exploit. Pochettino’s boys have scored 51 times in 29 league games and they know that goal difference could still count in their favour.
