Villains Bite Into Tough Toffees

Tim Sherwood's the one having a laugh if he thinks his boys are already safe.

It’s safe to say that Aston Villa and Everton are both playing their best football of the campaign but if both teams play to their full ability, the Merseysiders will triumph.

After taking 16 points from a possible 18, Martinez’s boys now look like the accomplished side which threatened the top four for much of last season. Back then they specialised in nicking wins by the odd goal and I think they can do that here.

Despite their revival, Villa still have the worst home record in the top flight (W3 D6 L7) and despite Sherwood’s scoffing at the suggestion, they are still very much in a dogfight to stay up.

They will probably get on the scoresheet, but Everton to win 2-1 looks pretty tasty at a best price of 11/1 with Bet365.
