Unrest On The Toon

Yet another season has unravelled at St James' Park. Spurs aren't much better at the moment but good enough to pick up the pieces eventually.

With two teams seemingly running out of ideas, I wouldn’t be surprised if this starts out as a pretty turgid encounter.

Newcastle have lost five in a row and have scored only four times in their last nine outings. The supporters are growing increasingly restless, yet again, and being at home will no longer feel like an advantage.

Meanwhile Spurs now have nothing left to play for but the dubious incentive of the Europa League. They were abject in home defeat to Villa last time out and have only won one of their last four, drawing a blank three times.

However, where there is Harry Kane, there is hope. He might prove the difference in the end here and we shouldn’t forget than Tottenham still have a top-five away record and score a lot of late goals.

The best bet therefore looks like ‘Half-time: Draw - Full-time: Spurs’ -a 5/1 prospect.
