Underwhelming England Opposable

England were poor in the World Cup and a half-full Wembley hardly gets the juices flowing.

A record-low crowd is expected at the new Wembley this evening and you can understand why.

England were pitiable at the World Cup, finishing bottom of their group with a solitary point. It is a measure of how low expectations have fallen that Roy Hodgson kept his job and his team avoided a pasting in the tabloids.

Low expectations haven’t filtered into the betting however because the Three Lions are 1/2 (Ladbrokes) to beat Norway this evening.

In a dull and ultimately pointless friendly backing England at skinny odds seems like madness.

To take advantage of these prices all we have to do is look the other way.

Norway are a fair bet at 7/1 (Coral) but with the teams managing just one win between them in their last 12 fixtures Norway to win at 19/4 (BetVictor) in the ‘draw no bet’ market looks the safer option.
