Time For City To Stand Up And Be Counted
A nonchalant Bayern have little reason to match the determination of the English champions on Tuesday night and that could make all the difference.
With Bayern Munich already qualified for the knockout stages as group winners, Tuesday night represents a golden opportunity for Manchester City to finally produce a noteworthy result in this season’s competition.
The Germans have no reason to take any chances with team selection and we saw 12 months ago what can happen when the cigars come out. Back then City won 3-2 at the Allianz Arena having trailed 2-0. Pellegrini’s boys even ran Bayern close on their turf again as recently as September; only a 90th minute strike from Jerome Boateng sealed a 1-0 home win.
This time City have home advantage and with Sergio Aguero in electrifying form they are worth a flutter. BetVictor are refunding various markets if the Blues win, including the HT/FT market.
