The Saturday Acca

We're predicting a happy afternoon for Messrs Wenger, McLaren and Lennon.

We’re backing Neil Lennon to earn a first home win in charge of Bolton on Saturday as part of our 7/1 (WilliamHill)* accumulator.

Arsenal (3/4) to win at Sunderland:

Although you would expect a response from any side hammered 8-0, the Black Cats will surely be too shell-shocked and fragile to actually avoid defeat one week on against a Champions League outfit. Quite simply, Arsenal have to win, and they will. Confidence will be high after 2 goals in the final 2 minutes secured victory at Anderlecht in midweek and it could be season-turning for the Gunners.

Derby (4/5) to win at home to Wigan:

The Rams have climbed to the top of the league after a 12-match unbeaten run across all competitions. Steven McLaren’s team are built around a water-tight defence which has kept six clean sheets on the bounce. Pride Park is therefore the last place which the Latics want to visit having failed to score in four of their last five. The visitors have slumped to 20th having not won since August.

Bolton (6/4) to win at home to Brentford:

Wanderers have endured a miserable campaign but the last week, the first under Neil Lennon, has offered genuine hope. The Trotters lifted themselves off the bottom with a 1-0 victory at Birmingham before playing really well in a 2-1 defeat at Charlton in midweek. Bolton had 16 more shots on goal than the Addicks who are unbeaten at home. A similar performance should ensure 3 points against a Brentford side without an away win since August.

*Exact odds 6.88/1
