The Saturday Acca

Three fixtures where it's hard to see why the favourites aren't heavily odds-on to win.

Three games from the top two divisions of English football really catch the eye when it comes to value this weekend and they all make up a best price 8/1 accumulator with BetVictor. We’re taking Stoke, Everton and Wolves to all win.

Stoke 6/5 to win at home to Leicester:

With the likes of Southampton odds-on to beat Newcastle on Saturday, it surprises me to find Stoke odds-against to win at the Britannia Stadium against newly promoted opponents. The Potters had the 6th best home record in the top flight last season based on taking the spoils in fixtures such as this. They just beat the champions while the Foxes, though plucky, are yet to taste victory.

Everton 13/10 to win at WBA:

The Toffees have had a poor start to the season but it’s far too soon to worry about a team who accrued 72 points in 2013-14 - precisely twice as many as West Brom. You would expect Martinez to calm his boys down, get the defence back on track, and do a professional job here. Goals should not be a problem for the Blues with Eto’o straight off the mark, Naismith scoring every week and Lukaku overdue. The Baggies were soundly beaten 3-0 at Swansea last time out.

Wolves 37/40 to win at Blackpool:

Perhaps the most surprising odds going are that Wolves are close to evens money to make it five league wins from six at Bloomfield Road. The hosts have lost all six of their games across all competitions this season and are in turmoil off the pitch as well as on. Blackpool boss Jose Riga reportedly had his job offered elsewhere, and declined, this week so somehow remains in charge. But the situation is bleak.
