Stoke Resurgence Under Wraps

If you scrap their first six winless games this season, the Potters would be top four and fighting for the title as much as Leicester.

The game at the King Power Stadium is an intriguing one on Saturday with the bookies finally pricing Leicester up as realistic title contenders. However, this is the time to oppose the hosts!

Had the season started in late-September, Stoke would be right there with the Foxes inside the top four (W9 D3 L4).

Where things get really interesting is when you analyse home records versus away records over this 16-game period. What we see is that Leicester only rank 8th in the top flight at home over the past four months whereas Stoke rank 3rd amongst away sides.

In fact, the Potters actually average more points per game on the road (1.75) since late September than the Foxes on their own patch (1.71).

Throw in a disappointing display by Ranieri’s men on Wednesday night in the FA Cup while Hughes’s troops rested and the away victory at 7/2 looks irresistible.
