Saints Sing Out Of Toon
Southampton have won their last two clashes with Newcastle 4-0 and they are arguably better now.
High-flying Saints are tempting to back for three points at 29/20 (BetVictor) but to win to nil at 3/1 (Skybet) they are almost irresistible.
Southampton have the best defence in the league, keeping clean sheets in 10 of 21 league fixtures. Nine of their top flight triumphs under Ronald Koeman have been accompanied by a clean sheet.
To make matters worse for Newcastle, they have been shutout in half of their last eight fixtures in all competitions, of which they have won only one (D1 L6). The loss of top scorer Papiss Cisse, on internatonal duty, is keenly felt.
The last two times these sides have met it’s ended 4-0 to the south coast team and it’s hard to see it getting much better for the Toon while they are currently managerless.
