Red Revival To Continue
Liverpool are on a roll but still really need three points at the Liberty Stadium.
With Arsenal and Manchester United both winning convincingly over the weekend, the pressure is now on Liverpool to follow suit on Monday night. Admittedly, with a tricky trip to Swansea in store it isn’t likely to be convincing, but taking three points by any means would be massive. A Reds victory by a one-goal margin is a best price 14/5 with Ladbrokes.
The Welsh club have only lost three matches at the Liberty Stadium in 2014-15 - to Chelsea, Tottenham and Southampton. In other words, they have only come unstuck against the cream of the crop, and the Merseysiders certainly fall into that category, particularly based on form (W9 D3 L0).
Apart from a freak afternoon against the league leaders (0-5), the Swans have only lost by a solitary goal on their own patch to Spurs and the Saints, and it was the same at White Hart Lane last time out. They are almost always competitive but we should see here the difference between a Champions League contender and a team pushing towards a Europa League spot. But only just.
